My friend Emily's husband is a firefighter and he arranged to have the Draper Fire Station have a friendly little water fight with the kids in our neighborhood. It was a literal blast. The kids had so much fun. The kids were invited to bring water balloons, water guns, and super soakers, etc. to get the firemen wet. Of course, there was no hope with the firefighters' hoses. They used their smaller or low pressure hoses, but man did they have range. They had water shooting from the very top of the ladder, a hose hooked up to a fire hydrant, and some other hose. Water was coming from everywhere.

This went on for over an hour. (That's Brooke in the green and white polka dots). The firefighters were great sports. They did let the kids soak them and even use one of their hoses against them. Everybody, except me and few other wise (or chicken) moms, left soaked and happy.
Looks like so much fun!! What a GREAT idea!
