On Friday night Brooke and Anna got to participate in a musical number with Clayton Productions at a Salt Lake Best of Broadway Gala. The founder of Clayton Productions was honored with a nomination for Arts in Education at the Gala. It was a long but fun evening.
It was hard to get any good pictures with my small, old camera but I got a couple at the dress rehearsal. They had to be there at 5:30 for a dress rehearsal. We had an hour for dinner between 7:00 and 8:00. We went to Red Rock for a quick dinner. Then they had to be back for their call time. I got to sit through all the other performances while they waited for their turn to perform. They had a dance number, a couple of musical numbers from Children of Eden from BYU, a couple of other musical groups, a slideshow of photos from local photographers, the One Voice Children's Choir, etc. Clayton Productions didn't even go on stage until about 10:00.
They got to hold these little colored lights as part of their number and keep them! I think that was the highlight of the performance for them (and maybe the weekend in general).
