Over UEA we took a quick trip to Portland to see my family. The kids and I left on Wednesday night and Mark joined us Friday night. We weren't there long enough to do much around Portland because we spent a few days at the coast. The first day we were there Garrett cried most of the day that he wanted to go home to "your house" (my house). He wasn't feeling well and was coughing a lot. We think he might have had allergies to my niece's cat. We just hung around my sister's house and everyone from the family came over to visit. This is me and my oldest niece, Courtney (she was born when I was 10 and is one of my favorite people in the world), and her amazingly adorable three-month-old son Arlo. I got to meet him for the first time that day! By the way, that makes me a great aunt. And my sister a grandma.
Some of the cousins: Garrett (crying of course), Madeleine, Will, Brooke, Laura (holding Arlo), and Lainie.
