Clayton Spring Concert

Last Saturday the girls had their Clayton Productions Spring Concert.  It was a busy day of dress rehearsals and then the big performance.  They have a Clayton Production Concert in December and June, following a few weeks (this time several weeks) of performances at different fun locations like Wheeler Farm, Gateway, Jordan Commons, Jordan Landing, Raging Waters, and the Alpine Slide.  It makes for a crazy several weeks, but it's fun to watch them perform and see what they have been working on the previous months of me driving carpool after carpool:)
Brooke's group did a medley from everybody's favorite broadway show, Wicked!! I was so excited! Their costumes came out cute as can be.  Their group was way cute singing "Loathing." They completely played up their parts in the dance. Here Brooke is singing her very own solo from "For Good." She stayed right on pitch and didn't seem nervous.

Anna's group performed a medley of nostalgia-evoking theme songs from "wholesome" t.v. shows from the past.  We had to laugh that included in the medley was the theme song from "Three's Company" and "Cheers."  There was also "Gilligan's Island", "Happy Days," "The Love Boat," and "The Brady Bunch," to name a few.  Anna is right in the very middle.

  1. GREAT pictures!! Wish we could see the girls perform. You're such a good mom to drive them to all the rehearsals and performances. These years are going to be rich in fond memories for all of you. Love and miss all of you so much.

  2. That's awesome that Brooke sang a solo, and on pitch too! The musical talent must run through the fam!

Who says Three's Company was wholesome?? We were never allowed to watch that show because it endorsed co-ed living.

    Oh, the good ole days!!

  3. "The Love Boat?" "Three's Company?" Wholesome?! This made me laugh since those shows were taboo at my house growing up. They do seem pretty mild compared to what's on TV now! Great job, Ryser girls!

  4. PS - Way to go, Brooke! A solo is a BIG DEAL and I am very impressed that she did it so well. I'd have been shaking in my shoes for sure!
