Oh my. My sweet little Lainie has lost a tooth! While I know she is excited (and I am excited for her), I feel sad that my last little girl is losing her baby teeth. I love the toothless smile in a five or six year old (so cute!!), but those permanent teeth instantly change the whole face of a child. They seem to grow up instantly. When I first discovered how loose that tooth was a couple of months ago, I honestly got teary eyed, and Mark called me on it. I have one more little one, thankfully, but Lainie is my last little girl and there's something sad about knowing she has one foot on the path toward permanent teeth.
