We went to Mark's parents' house last night for dinner and gingerbread house construction. Sue is pretty amazing to go to all the work of making real gingerbread. The most amazing thing is that most years she makes all the gingerbread pieces the night before Thanksgiving! She serves a big Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day, cleans most of it up, and then lets all the kids make gingerbread houses. Mark and his sisters and cousins grew up doing that as a tradition. My kids are lucky to have such a fun grandma.
